Test and troubleshoot

  1. Open your game’s SDK page, from your game in My games, and keep it open.

  2. Run your game and finish a round, from localhost or from your live site.

  3. Watch Live results. The round appears within seconds, marked with where it came from:

    Mark Meaning
Test From localhost. Shown here, never counted
    On Alldle Inside Alldle’s frame
Sent by Alldle On your site, by a player from Alldle
Your site On your site, from anywhere else

You can also ask an assistant to run get_sdk_status.

Add data-debug to the script tag and read the browser console first. A slug or domain mistake is always reported there.

data-game must be your game’s slug, the end of alldle.net/game/your-game-slug, or its id. Copy it from the game’s SDK page.

Results are accepted from your game’s own domain and its subdomains, Alldle’s frame, and localhost. A staging or preview address on another domain is refused. To test from one, use localhost.

If your game moved to a new domain, change its address on Alldle. Until that is approved, results from the new domain are refused.

Your code ran before the script loaded, or the script was blocked:

  • Move the SDK’s <script> tag above the code that uses it. With defer or async, the order is not guaranteed.
  • Check your own Content-Security-Policy. If you use script-src and connect-src, allow https://www.alldle.net and https://api.alldle.net.
  • An ad blocker on your own browser can block it. Try a private window with extensions off.

The player already finished this puzzle today, and the first result counts. This is expected. To test the same puzzle twice, use a new private window or a different puzzleId.

You are testing from localhost, where rounds are marked Test and never counted. Try it on your live site.

A change on your side probably dropped the script, or the call. If a game stops reporting, the dashboard says so in its list of what needs you. Check that the tag is still in your page’s HTML:

Terminal window
curl -s https://your-game.example | grep -E 'sdk\.js|data-game'

If the tag is there, finish a round with data-debug on and read the console.

Does a player need an Alldle account? No. Signed-out players are counted too.

Does it slow my game down? The script is small, and reports are sent in the background without waiting on your game.

What if Alldle is down? Your game does not notice. Nothing the SDK does can throw into your code, and that round is simply not reported.

Can someone send fake results? The origin check stops other sites from reporting for your game, but not a script that forges it, as with any analytics snippet. Rate limits bound it, and results never affect rankings.
