Read your results

Your results are on SDK & results and on each game’s Stats page. An assistant reads them through get_results. They are empty until the SDK reports its first round.

Number What it is Needs
Rounds finished Rounds reported, won or lost Nothing more
Players Unique players who finished a round Nothing more
Win rate Share of rounds won Nothing more
Average guesses Mean of attempts on rounds won attempts
Time per round How long rounds take durationMs or startMode()
Finished Share of started rounds that were completed startMode()

A harder week reads as more guesses and more time, which is not bad news in itself. Results are shown over time and per mode, with the guess distribution for each mode.

Each puzzle is compared with your usual win rate for its mode over the same period:

Call Meaning
Harder Win rate at least 10 points below the mode’s
Easier Win rate at least 10 points above it
Typical Within 10 points

Ten points is a day players notice, and less is noise. A puzzle needs at least two players to appear, and five to get a call. The latest puzzles come first. Send a puzzleId to name them, or each row reads “Daily puzzle”.

Source Meaning
On Alldle Played inside Alldle’s frame
Sent by Alldle On your site, by players who came from Alldle
Your own players On your site, from anywhere else

Read together, these tell you how much of your game’s life comes through Alldle.

The SDK page also marks Test rounds, played from localhost. They appear in the live feed and are never counted.

The two count different things, on purpose:

  • Audience counts people opening your game, with no code on your side. It only sees plays that start on Alldle.
  • Results counts rounds finished, as reported by your game. It also sees players who never touched Alldle.

So a game with many direct players can show more rounds than plays. A player who opens your game and leaves shows up only in Audience.
